Access to an active life

Health and Wellbeing is very important for us all to live a long and prosperous life. Remaining active can become a real issue for us as we become older and this is even more evident if you have a disability. Our interactive videos allow your potential clients to view your facilities online from the comfort of their own home, reducing any anxiety and encouraging them to try something new.  If you’re looking to increase your client base and better serve the needs of your community, iRoam is the tool for you!

Get ahead of the competition…

…by showing your prospective clients you understand their needs, and are willing to go the extra mile to cater for them by using our interactive video tours.  We capture the whole facility in HD video and audio, creating a truly immersive and engaging experience…but don’t take our word for it, here’s what others say:

“We are always looking for innovative ways of encouraging people to look after their health through things like exercising. We know that for some the barrier to this can be very easily unlocked through modern technology such as these video maps and we hope that it makes a difference and encourages more people to try our leisure centres.”

Cllr Keith Cunliffe

Portfolio holder for Adult Social Care and Health, Wigan Council

“I used iRoam this week with a class of ten pupils, the majority with ASC. It was really useful to be able to actually see where we would be walking and how close the changing rooms were to the swimming pool. The children enjoyed navigating around the swimming baths and asked lots of questions.

I have one child who has a lot of anxieties around toilets, especially in new places. iRoam enabled him to have a look at where toilets are located and to see what the toilets looked like. This has really reduced his anxiety about our up coming swimming lesson and he even took a print screen from iRoam to take with him on the trip.”

Looking for something more customised?

We can add additional features to your tour to provide an even more engaging solution.  These additions will allow your users to interact in a way that reflects the physical environment.  Here are some features we think work really well in a sports and leisure settings:

Go Pro experience

Do you have specialist equipment in your leisure centre?  A climbing wall, high ropes, skate park, ski simulator?  We can add go pro footage of your equipment being used into our interactive video tours.  Enabling prospective clients to see what it is like to experience the equipment before booking.

Busy button

Large crowds are a major worry for a lot of people with sensory requirements. With our busy button, we can show you what a particular space will look and sound like when it’s bustling, to better prepare your visitors of what to expect when they get there. This will can also advise what times are best to arrive and leave, so your clients can plan to avoid any problem areas or excessive noise levels.

Venues Big & Small

Weather it’s a small gym or large stadium, there will always be peak times.  Peak times mean crowds, and with it…increased noise. When trying to make venues more accessible for people with hidden disabilities, iRoam is a great solution.  Allowing users the time to prepare properly, to experience how busy it can get, and what the noise levels will be.  All this visual and audio information will greatly reduce the amount of anxiety experienced and will encourage people to try your services.

Customer Experience

By using iRoam interactive access videos on your website, you are making visitors lives easier by providing solutions to their access issues.  Showing clients that you recognise their unique access needs and understand the necessity for inclusive access information.  Valuing clients as individuals and providing a fantastic start to a customer’s experience.

The Purple Pound

The economic spending power of people with disabilities and their families is often referred to as the “Purple Pound”. Recently this was worth an estimated £249 billion. That’s a lot of spending power!  Making your facilities accessible, providing tools to encourage access and showing your clients you’re willing to cater for their needs, is a great way to gain access to this market.
